Trick or Treat!!!!!!!

The Wetzel kids had a bunch of fun going "Trick-or-Treating" Saturday night in the 'Ville! Daniel was Darth Vader, Ava was Snow White, and Aslynn was Cinderella! What a combo!!! Derek decided on his own this year that he was getting too old to dress up and beg for candy, so he helped me walk the younger ones around. He still ended up with quite a bit of loot. People felt sorry for him, I guess! Poor kid never gets anything! :) The girls had a BLAST dressing up like princesses. It wasn't a good hair night for the princesses, as it was mighty windy and chilly, but the big, poofy dresses were a hit! Ava learned really quick how to tackle the art of trick-or-treating! She liked it! She loves candy......they all do! She can't quite get that we only eat a few pieces each day, and not all at once! :) Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!

Ava & Aslynn Visit the Apple Orchard!

Ava & Aslynn got to experience a fieldtrip to the apple orchard last week. What fun they had seeing some animals at the next door petting zoo, riding the hay wagon to the orchard, picking an apple to eat, watching the apples go through the "apple washer," and eating the apple (of course). Mommy got to enjoy watching the girls have fun! It was a fun morning. The gift shop had many apples for us to buy, so we bought some to eat plain and some to use in apple pie! Yum! We also bought some cider!

Today the girls got to walk to the downtown library with their classes. They enjoyed storytime and making a craft with the librarian. They are really enjoying preschool. Ava especially is showing that it was a good choice to put the girls in preschool. She is catching up on some missed skills! She is improving in English daily. I am sure the more exposure she has to groups of kids really helps with that.

Just had to share a few pictures of their fun day!

Driving to Sporting Events is a Full-time Job!

If I got paid for my taxi services, I'd be a millionaire!!! :) This fall we have divided much of our time between football and soccer. Daniel has enjoyed playing mid-fielder in soccer this season. Soccer is a very fun, social time for him. Their team is made up of first and second graders. They travel around to surrounding schools for their games. Their team has done well, and even when they don't, Daniel still enjoys running through the tunnel the spectators make at the end of the games to give high fives! Snacks at the end of the game are always a highlight, too!

Derek is playing his second year in pee wee football. He plays tight end. He enjoys the game greatly, especially when they throw the ball his direction! He has made several NICE catches! His team is undefeated to date. They have 2 more regular season games and then the championships. His team practices every night Monday through Thursday. We've hit BIG TIME!

When the girls start sports, I think I am in trouble. This taxi has had a few times when it didn't know how to get everyone where they needed to be at the same time! I never believed people that raising children gets harder as they get older. I thought that older meant independence! Well, I forgot how involved older kids get in things. So many places to be! So many activities! Potty training and spoon feeding doesn't seem so hard anymore!:)
