Where in the world are the Wetzels????????

Let' see............Where did I leave off? Well, we had a great Christmas! As you can see from some of the pictures, the kids did pretty well present-wise! They got a trampoline (I thought I would never see the day, but they love it!), 3 of the 4 kids got a badly needed new bike (as we are growing so quickly), Derek got an archery set, and a basketball hoop for outside.
We also got to spend a week with Grandma and Grandpa Rohm, which was a blast! They got to see our new "digs," the boys' school, our church, Paul's work, etc. We all were spoiled with their visit! We got to spend a little time with Uncle Dane and Aunt Kristy from Oklahoma City during their visit, too. We don't live too far apart! What fun!
Derek chose to play basketball with Lake Pointe Church this winter. He is on a team of 5th and 6th grade boys from several Rockwall Elementary schools. The Elementary schools do not have sports here. They wait until middle school for that, so it is up to the churches and YMCA to provide the "extras." Derek did really well his first game! I think he made 10 points. He loves to play basketball.
We just got off a long break from school again...no, not Christmas break. The kids were off last Friday and this Tuesday for teacher inservice days, and of course MLK day was Monday. THEN.....the ICE STORM! WOW! Do the Dallas people ever FREAK OUT over cold weather! We had Wednesday off from school as a "snow day!" You all from the north would explode in laughter at the amount of ice/snow that shut down almost the entire state of Texas, but with no salt trucks and equipment to get the stuff off the road, I guess we do have a slight inconvenience. It really has been UNSEASONABLY cold, but that is, of course, because the Wetzels moved here to get away from the cold!!!! Ha!
I really am trying my best to keep up with these pictures and all, but I am not holding up my promise like I should. I will TRY to be better! We miss all our family and friends back at home! Come visit! I can't promise warm weather (ha!), but we've got plenty of room to have guests!
