Ava's Dedication!

What a blessed mom I am. On Mother's Day, Ava was dedicated to God on Sunday night along with about 10 other children. It fills me with joy that Ava has the opportunity to grow up with people praying specifically for her. Ava seemed to enjoy the attention on stage, and was delighted with the flower the pastor gave her. :)

We are on the road to the end of the school year! Hallelujah! This is one mama who is thrilled to see the school projects end for a few months! Of course, let's see what she is proclaiming by the end of summer, when she has spent a few months with FOUR children at home ALL day!

We have endured a bunch of rain these past few weeks. Looking forward to drying out and warming up! That means the kids can play outdoors! It can make for some long days having them inside all the time! We are thankful that Derek is now old enough to help out with mowing the lawn. He drives that riding mower like he has been doing it forever! Wow! He has had his share of mowing lately, as the grass is growing out of control with all this rain!

As I am typing this, it is so neat to watch the girls pretend their "bears" are sitting in Mr. Denny's class (their Sunday School teacher's name). Ava has been reading books to her bear, who is sitting so still and being very quiet! Can't wait to hear song time! Ava loves to belt out "Jesus Loves Me."

Need to go, as Daniel just got home off the bus from kindergarten. He is only going to be a half day student for 8 more days! Next year, my baby boy is going to school ALL day! He is so ready and eager to learn. He is reading up a storm. His teacher has to remind him to not answer all her questions on words all the time, as she wants the other kids to learn how to read them, too. He is amazing!
